It was quite the ride. Started small, grew fast, imploded after the dot com bust of 2001. There’s more too it than that, but first…
Running around the roof.
Why?
It was fun. Spontaneous. Why not?
I noticed a ladder that led to roof access from the storage closet. No lock at the top. I didn’t hesitate. On the roof I went.
“Whoo hooo” all of downtown Redwood City could see it. Well maybe a few people noticed.
You know who did notice?
Danny. LMAO. He was in a meeting. Probably with clients and/or investors. Thud, thud, thud, weeee!
“Guert, what in tarnation do you think you are doing up there dammit! Get off the roof!”
It was worth it and we all get a good laugh about it now. #Midge captured the “memory” quite nicely in the graphic above.
